Planning The Trip

We've been planning this trip for a long time. Carole's niece Fiona and family came and visited us on their tour of Australia a couple of years ago and we said we'd come and see them in Halifax, Nova Scotia at some point.

It's a part of Canada we've never visited and we've discovered some added interest. One of my Dad's brothers was born there and a great grandfather signed up for the Canadian Forces in Halifax during WW1, one month before the Halifax Explosion of 1917 leveled the house he was living in together with most of the city.
